For Educators

The Sensor Explorer is an "add-on" to the Piper Computer Kit or the Piper Make Starter Kit.

For Piper Computer Kit your StoryMode software has three new worlds within the Raspberry Pi edition of Minecraft that introduce the Sensor Explorer through game-based play, three new PiperCode projects and the Component Library.

For Piper Make, the Sensor Explorer has four new missions, an incredible way to measure the world around you! Missions include Security Zone, Ultrasonic Drum, Ther-Mood-Stat and Color Coded. Sensor Explorer is an add-on and REQUIRES a Piper Make Starter Kit or Base Station with the Raspberry Pi Pico to get started (sold separately).

As you meet new characters with Piperbot and Pip in our storyline (including some new Zomar friends and an enigmatic Color Wheel), you’ll learn how you can use sensors to measure color, distance, and temperature in the world around you – the foundation of so many smart devices today!
